Terms and conditions
By registering to participate in the Qeltic Games 2026, you accept the following Terms and Conditions:
The Qeltic Games are organised by LEAP Sports Scotland, a Scottish Charitable Incorporated Organisation (hereinafter referred to as LEAP) registered with the Office of the Scottish Charity Regulator (OSCR).
Disclosure of Personal Information
I understand that as part of the registration process of the Qeltic Games, personal information will be collected by LEAP and stored in accordance with Scottish legislation. I accept the collection, use and disclosure of my personal information for the purpose of enabling my participation in the sports, cultural and social program of the Qeltic Games and for the purpose of receiving information related to my participation in this event from LEAP in the form of electronic newsletters, promotional flyers and other communication media.
I give my consent that LEAP may disclose my personal information to any third parties that are involved in the organisation, on behalf of LEAP, of the Qeltic Games 2026 for the purposes of promoting the Qeltic Games 2026 or any subsequent Qeltic Games. I accept that my name could be published online for the purpose of tournament schedules, medal ceremonies and ranking lists. When registering, participants can use a name they prefer to go by instead of their given name.
Age Policy
The minimum age for participation in the Qeltic Games 2026 is 18 years. Accordingly, participants must be 18 years old or older by 2nd May 2026 for participation.
Gender Policy
LEAP affirms and supports the rights of athletes to compete as their true selves and to compete in the gender category that accords with their gender identity or that they feel most comfortable with. Sports without gender identity categories or open categories are open to participants of all gender identities. We recognise that a binary definition of gender excludes people who are non-binary, and so in sports with gender categories, we aim to offer a category for non-binary participants.
Qeltic Games 2026 will also have FLINTA categories. FLINTA is an acronym that stands for: Frauen/Women, Lesbian, Intersex, Non-Binary, Trans, Agender. This category is designed to create a safe, inclusive space for people who may face barriers or discrimination in other gendered or open categories and encourage participation from individuals who might otherwise feel excluded or unsafe.
During the registration process, participants can respond to questions regarding gender identity in an attempt to help monitor gender diversity. All equalities questions have a prefer not to say option for those who do not wish to disclose. The data helps us monitor inclusion, diversity and representation at the Qeltic Games. Furthermore, we will use the data to create a push for greater inclusion in sports by proving that it is indeed possible.
We recognise that some governing bodies and some of the competition frameworks we are working with will have different or conflicting gender policies. Where this is the case, the Qeltic Games gender policy will take priority with exceptions only if we are forced into a position for insurance or legal reasons where no other solution can be found. For 2026, rugby is such an exception.
Health and Insurance
I declare that I am in a physically fit and healthy state which is required for participation in events of the Qeltic Games for which I am registering, and that I am not aware of any serious medical condition that would prevent me participating in these physical activities.
If I sustain an injury or illness while participating in any role in the Qeltic Games, I hereby authorise any medical or health personnel to perform and administer first aid medical treatment as deemed necessary and to seek more specialised medical attention at hospitals and health care institutions if deemed necessary by any first aid and medical staff or contractors of LEAP.
I accept that it is my responsibility to organise my own travel insurance and personal accident insurance to cover my property and myself for the whole period of my participation in the Qeltic Games. I agree that I have hereby been advised to acquire adequate personal accident and health care insurance as a participant in any role in the Qeltic Games.
Liability
I acknowledge that I am fully aware of the risks and hazards inherent to participation in the different events of the Qeltic Games. I acknowledge and agree that I have elected to voluntarily enter this agreement and to assume all risks of loss, damage and injury, including death, that I may sustain as a consequence of my participation in any of the sports or other events that I participate in. I hereby fully release LEAP and all of its affiliated companies, sponsors, servants, agents, officers, directors, members, volunteers and employees from any claims, actions, suits or demands of whichever nature arising out of or related in any way to my participation in the events of Qeltic Games, including any loss, damage, injury or death sustained by any third party as a result, directly or indirectly, of my participation in the event. I hereby fully indemnify LEAP and all of its affiliated companies, sponsors, servants, agents, officers, directors, members, volunteers and employees against all expenses, losses, damages and costs that they may incur as a result of my participation in the event.
Rules and Regulations
I agree to abide by the rules and regulations of the Qeltic Games 2026 events as determined by LEAP and governing bodies for sport and cultural events, including all written and verbal instructions given by LEAP designated officials and event managers.
Applicable rules and regulations include – but are not limited to:

I agree that any failure to comply with the official instructions, rules and regulations of LEAP or governing bodies for sports, conference and culture events may result in immediate disqualification from events or from the games.
I accept that the decisions of LEAP and Qeltic Games tournament officials are final.
LEAP reserves the right to have designated officials reclassify sport participants where the registrant has self-selected a grade, level, category, division or other classification. LEAP reserves the right to combine or eliminate grades, levels, rounds, event lengths, categories, divisions, or other classifications if deemed necessary at LEAP’s complete and sole discretion.
Not all events or venues used in Qeltic Games are accessible to all, and some have restrictions. LEAP is committed to providing great experiences for all participants, so if you have any accessibility requirements, please get in touch with our team to discuss this.
Cancellations and Refund Policy
(1) Venues, competition days and schedules of events may be changed or cancelled at LEAP’s absolute discretion, after which LEAP may decide to provide a refund of participation fees. In the event that LEAP cancels the entire event, or parts of the event, for any reason whatsoever, I agree that I will have no claim or take no action against LEAP in respect of any loss, damage or expenses incurred by me as a result of such cancellation, and I acknowledge and agree that any potential refund of the registration fee is subject to the sole discretion of the LEAP and may be partial in nature.
Notwithstanding the above, in case the organisation is compelled to cancel a specific sport as part of Qeltic Games 2026 because of a lack of participants, participants will be offered the choice between registering for another sport or withdrawing their participation. In the latter case, they receive a 100% refund.
(2) In the event where I as a participant can no longer take part in the upcoming event, I accept and agree that no claim or action will be taken against LEAP regarding pay back of the registration fee. In the event of cancellation due to force majeure, I agree that I will not be entitled to any refund or compensation.
Notwithstanding the above, cancellations received by April 2nd 2026, will receive a 50% refund. Cancellations should be notified in writing to qelticgames@leapsports.org
Branding
I agree not to act in a way that would harm or compete with or devalue LEAP and Qeltic Games or our sponsors’ rights regarding branding potential, logo rights, exclusive presence, etc. at venues where events are being held. If at any time during the event, officials designated by LEAP determine, at their sole discretion, that my actions may result in the devaluation of said sponsor rights or competes with the event sponsors, I will be required to immediately cease such action, including the removal of any uniforms, signs or other items that compete with sponsor or potentially devalues such sponsorship.
Promotional Material
I hereby grant LEAP the unconditional right to use, at its discretion, photographic pictures of myself in any form of media, art, advertising, trade, visual documentary, promotional material, merchandise or film coverage of any kind without compensation to me or approval by me unless I have explicitly stated otherwise on the registration form.
Applicable Law
Any dispute arising out of or in connection with the Qeltic Games, including any disputes regarding the existence, validity or termination thereof, will be subject to Scots law.
