The festival format is mainly aimed at those who are in the improver to intermediate categories, though all are welcome.

• Put your name in for as many games in the two hours as you want and as court availability allows. It’s ok to take rests between games.
• You can come along as a pair, or come along on your own and we'll get you matched up with someone else.
• You play games against other pairs, matched by the organisers.
• Games are to 11 points or for a maximum of 12 mins, whichever ends the game first.
• The event is for all gender pairings: same gender or mixed gender pairings will play against each other
• The scores for the games are not recorded as this format is about taking part and having fun.

The competition will be a round robin in each category progressing to finals and playoffs.

Open - all genders

FLINTA - open to women, lesbians, non-binary, trans, and agender players

Levels

There will be two levels, based on official pickleball ratings.

Category 1 – Improver and intermediate: Ranked up and including to 3.0

Category 2 – Stronger Intermediate and advanced: above 3.0

Tickets

Individual - you will be matched with a partner within your chosen tournament and level

Pair - ticket for two players who want to compete together

Venue information 

The Stevenson Building is the main sport and fitness facility at the University of Glasgow, located on the Gilmorehill campus in the West End of Glasgow.

Changing 

The facility provides male and female changing rooms with showers.

Accessible changing facilities are also available, including accessible showers and toilets.

Lockers 

Lockers are available throughout the building for day use. Users typically require a £1 coin (non-refundable) or a padlock for certain locker areas, depending on the section of the facility. It is recommended to bring a £1 coin or your own padlock.

Getting there 

There is limited on-campus parking, and visitors are encouraged to use public transport where possible. Blue Badge parking is available on campus.

The nearest subway station is Hillhead (approximately 5 minutes’ walk).

The nearest train stations are Partick and Charing Cross.

Several bus routes operate along Great Western Road and Byres Road, both within walking distance of the venue.
