Join Qeltic Games for our LGBTIQ+ inclusive Tennis competition.
Competition format
Morning – Rotational Doubles
All players will be matched with a player in their playing level and take part in several timed doubles matches. You will be on court with a group of players and rotate one position after each game. There will be multiple rounds to give everyone plenty of playing time with different partners.
Afternoon – Knock-Out Singles
Players will progress to the afternoon singles competition, which will follow a knock-out format. The winner will be crowned the Qeltic Games Tennis Champion.
Tournaments
Open - all genders
Levels
- Beginner - equivalent to GLTA Division D and those who have not played competitively before. For players new to tennis or developing their match play.
- Intermediate - equivalent to GLTA division C - player can show consistency, control and good court coverage. Plays regularly but may have limited tournament experience.
- Advanced - equivalent to GLTA Open/A/B division - player can demonstrate full variety of spin, power and strong tactical awareness in matches. Confident with competitive play.

Hillhead Sports Club is a long-established multi-sport and social club based at Hughenden in the West End of Glasgow.
Changing
The clubhouse includes male and female changing rooms with showers and toilets.
Lockers
Day-use lockers are provided within the changing room areas and require a padlock.
Getting there
Hillhead Sports Club is located at 32 Hughenden Road between Great Western Road and Byres Road.
Parking: There is on-site parking available at the clubhouse, including at least one Blue Badge / disabled space.
Street parking nearby is subject to local restrictions and permit zones, so many visitors choose to use public transport instead.
Public transport:
Subway: The closest subway station is Hillhead on the Glasgow Subway network (about a 5–10 minute walk).
Train: Partick and Hyndland rail stations are within walking distance (10–15 minutes).
Bus: Several bus routes run along Great Western Road and nearby streets with stops close to the club.
