The Qeltic Games is a grassroots multi-sport event bringing together LGBTQI+ sports teams, athletes and allies from across the UK and Ireland.

Perth, Scotland played host to the inaugural Games in August 2024, with four sports – badminton, football, rugby and pickleball – featuring in the programme.

The Games aims to provide an inclusive and inspiring environment, bringing queer athletes together across the UK and Ireland.

Five strategic pillars underpin the vision and objectives for the Games:

1. Amplify the visibility and awareness of queer sport within the host city and across the UK and Ireland.
2. Champion grassroots participation in community sport.
3. Deliver meaningful and distinctive Games experiences for participants.
4. Enhance the capacity and expertise of UK and Irish organisers to host events.
5. Foster the growth and development of relationships among clubs.

LEAP Sports Scotland (Leadership, Equality and Active Participation in Sports for LGBTIQ+ people in Scotland) are the primary organisers of the Games, while partner organisations and volunteers will provide support in the staging of each individual sport.
